Teaching profile
ISIMA (Institut Supérieur d'Informatique, de Modélisation et de leurs Applications) is a leading computer science engineering school of Clermont Auvergne INP, a component of the Université Clermont Auvergne and a member of the INP group. ISIMA offers courses leading to an engineering degree in computer science (around 430 students), a master's degree in computer science (around 150 students) and a bachelor's degree in computer science (around 350 students).
The person recruited is likely to be involved in all of ISIMA's diplomas (Diplôme d'ingénieur en informatique en formation initiale en statut étudiant / apprentice, Master en informatique, Licence d'informatique). A significant proportion of the courses will focus on security, particularly in the "networks and security" section of the engineering diploma. This course, which has been awarded the SecNumEdu label by ANSSI, places strong emphasis on all aspects of IT security. In particular, there is a need for the following courses
- IT security fundamentals (including code theory and cryptography),
- network security (including secure network architecture, securing network services),
- secure programming (including web security, operating system security, malware analysis, embedded security, connected object security),
- information system security (including security policy, penetration testing).
Teaching in other fields will also be offered, depending on the candidate's profile (e.g. algorithms and programming, databases, machine learning, operating systems, theoretical computing, operational research, etc.).
The candidate will be part of the ISIMA teaching team, comprising around 45 teachers and teacher-researchers. The candidate will be expected to participate in the school's collective tasks and missions of general interest.
External applications are strongly encouraged.
Research profile
The Laboratoire d'Informatique, de Modélisation et d'Optimisation des Systèmes (LIMOS, https://limos.fr) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 6158) in computer science, and more generally in Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (ICST).
LIMOS is mainly attached to the CNRS Computer Science Institute, and secondarily to the CNRS Engineering Institute. Its academic supervisors are the Université Clermont Auvergne and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne (EMSE). LIMOS is a member of Clermont Auvergne INP.
The scientific positioning of LIMOS is centered on Computer Science, Modeling and Optimization of Organizational and Living Systems. The main research themes developed within the laboratory are :
-Combinatorial Optimization
-Algorithms, Graphs, Complexity
-Metamodeling, Continuous Optimization and Applications (MOCA)
-Data, Services, Intelligence
-Network and Security
-Modeling and Optimization of Manufacturing Systems
-Service Design and Planning
Research activities will be carried out within the Network and Security theme, https://limos.fr/themes/4, of the SIC axis of LIMOS (UMR 6158), which wishes to strengthen its activities in the field of protocol design and proof, as well as cryptographic schemes.
Applicants should present solid and motivated integration projects targeting these themes within the LIMOS security team.
Applications demonstrating a commitment to multidisciplinarity, the development of work in cryptography, formal methods for security, or privacy will also be considered. Similarly, experience in the field of IT security will be highly valued. Particular attention will be paid to applications that highlight achievements in applied security. Finally, candidates with the ability to work in international collaborations are strongly encouraged.
