Stochastic Corrective Risk Based Optimal Power FlowTaufiquar Kahn, professeur - Clemson University (USA) |
In this talk, we give an introduction to the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) problem which is crucial to the operations and planning management of the power grid. We discuss Security Constrained Optimal Power Flow (SCOPF) which is an extension of OPF that includes contingencies. We also discuss the formulation of the corresponding optimization problem as a Corrective Security-Constrained Optimal Power Flow (CSCOPF). We formulate a model that quantifies and controls the total system line overflow caused by contingencies using Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR) constraints. We demonstrate the use of the proposed method via simulations and present preliminary results.
